  Best food I've ever had! Driving up to beech mtn and had to stop for a bite to eat and thankfully my family and I stopped her! The burgers were to die for and The chili was banging! My husband even went back for seconds! Plus, The staff is great!  By far the greatest burger I've eaten in my life. Thank you for this experience!

  I stopped here after biking some of the local trails.  I had visited this deli before on previous trips to Banner Elk and remember it as being good. I was absolutely famished.   I ordered a burger.  The cook did not seem too thrilled about my order, which I attribute to my being there at 5:30pm when they close at 6pm.    I placed my order to-go with plans to eat it across the street in the park at Lee-McRae.  
  
  When I got to the park and bit into the burger, it was quite possibly the worst I had ever had.  I do not know if it was because it being late in the day or whether that is their norm.  The meat had a weird texture and did not even taste like a burger to me.  I am only taking 1 star away for this, though, because I distinctly remember everything being decent in past trips.
  
  The guy who took my order was friendly enough and the interior is small but nostalgic. They have an outdoor area as well.  
  
  All in all, I do recommend going here, just don't get the burger maybe.

  Great sandwich restaurant and college environment!   The food is great and they will make anything sandwich you basically can ask for.  Customer service is very good.  
  I would recommend this place to anyone!!!

  We've been here a couple of times and have always found the food to be delicious and the service prompt. We try to go when it's not super busy.  parking available.

  Breakfast review: We ended up at this place totally by mistake we were actually trying to find Banner Elk Cafe to get some breakfast but it looked closed so we kept driving and we stopped here and we just went inside. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a kind gentleman behind the counter and he offered us breakfast menus. We ordered one of the breakfast platters (I can't remember the name) but it had eggs,toast, hash browns, your choice of meat, and French toast. We had our choice of seating since it was empty (keep in mind it was mid morning on a Friday) we sat next to a window and waited for our food. Food was prepared in a timely manner and it was absolutely delicious. I'll attach a picture. Will definitely return if we come back next year. I'm giving it five starts because the food was made on the spot and the service was great because the guys cooking for us were very friendly.
